Blacktown Solar City Discount Voucher Booklet

The members of the Blacktown Solar City Consortium invite expressions of interest from goods and services providers that service the Blacktown City local government area (LGA) to participate in a Discount Voucher Booklet.

The Booklet will feature discounted or special offers on energy efficiency products and services, be valid for one year from the date of issue and be distributed to every home in the Blacktown City LGA (around 90,000 homes). The members of the Blacktown Solar City Consortium invite goods and service providers to appear in this Booklet in return for providing discounts and special offers to Blacktown Solar City participants.

Areas of interest may include but are not limited to: roof heat ventilation devices; energy efficient major appliances, such as refrigerators; window double glazing; draft proofing for windows and other areas; resealing of refrigerators; window awnings/ external shutters or other means of shading/reflecting heat; energy efficient lighting replacements for halogens and other lighting; water efficient shower heads; ceiling fans; energy efficient room heaters; and equipment to reduce standby power of appliances. Goods and service providers will be selected after consideration of the following criteria:

discount value of offer
energy efficiency impact of product
proven ability and capacity to deliver promised discounted goods and services over one-year period, including initial peak demand
warranty offered and financial stability of provider
access to services (some preference may be shown to those based or with shopfronts in Blacktown City LGA)

The successful providers will be required to meet certain conditions and will be selected by the members of the Blacktown Solar City Consortium using the above selection criteria.
